Quick off top question.. I seen the Tupperware and pvc going into t-pvc pipe is that for flow direction and lite flow?..im looking to do a setup something like this when I move.. I’ll show some of the small collection I have now..

Hi @615Bororeefer yes I just added the 2" pvc L splitter that deduces down to 1" thats basicly hiding behind the rack at top and the rocks to the left. That particular table has super heavy flow and helps keep the water moving around the shrooms instead of violently smashing through them. And yes the tupperware in second table is to help deflect the flow down through it.

Sump #2 is getting ready for blast off
Love it when new toys come ive been designing this ats for a month now. Gonna be a hang on the side type. Out of sight of of mind and hopefully super light proof!
I unhooked the in sump ats in sump#1 as I'm finding its much more efficient to scrub overflow water. Probably twice as efficient

On Ebay in UK. Luckily we have a European to US plug adapter laying around

It came 2 weeks earlier than expected.

Can't wait for this aquarium sealant to dry! Lots of disassemble ideas put into assemble

Turn off flow, unhook it, clean it and put back together. Should be about a 5 minute process. Longest part is going to have to wait for tables to stop flowing

Need to go to Dro Sto to get some grommets to put on box where it slides over pvc for tight fit although its already pretty tight i can make it better.
Box just slides on.
Should be fully functional tomorrow night!

Lol I just realized I got a partial foot shot for @Mastiffsrule

I'm building a diy algae turf scrubber. Probably could have spent $500 on one but like buying new shrooms to much

All in im about $135 dollars on this. Mostly the lamp.
Its fully custom to my sump as well takes up 8" on one side ill get pix when I install it.
Picture this box sliding over the pvc shining red light on the water fall thats going to be happening on the screen

I forgot to mention how much the wife is into it when I do man stuff around the house

Makes her proud and keeps me out of trouble at same time hahaha

Lol really not sure what that guy is those where the pix in thread when i bought the shroom. It does look tasty though

I was kind of wondering if they were aptAsia or not as nothing seems to mind them.so let's go happily around them I've got a few mushrooms growing with them GSP doesn't care. They don't seem to be stinging anything.

when you say a third of a syringe can you give me what that would be in ml to you as I've got quite a few different size syringes from vaccinating dogs and puppies.

I've got half a bottle of aptasia x that was in the bin of things that came with the tank. Would it be worth trying that before lemon juice or straight to lemon juice?

Sorry for the late reply. I use an insulin syringe. I think they are 1cc. So not much needed.

Awesome just looked it up. Makes much more sense now. It kind of looked like you were building a sluice box. Wondered if you've been watching too much Gold Rush on Discovery.

So in theory this gives your algae a place to grow contained which should outcompete algae everywhere else for nutrients?

Thats what I'm hoping for

Also gonna try and put some sea plants in other sump as well.
