My Mushroom Garden Table Saga 2.0 build thread

See you just went and put glass back into my brain.
I really like the look of glass tanks man.
Hahahaha ill never get this done.
Wife is telling me just do it. She knows how I am when I become obsessed its all I think about and have been doing for last few weeks:D

When I buy a house I too will have a HE shed sir:D
They do acrylic also lol. Going to look at both options. The tank I am doing though will probably be cheaper with glass. Think 7’ x 7’ U shaped without the bend for the U. I would prefer acrylic though, just due to weight.

I did reach out for quote and I could get 2 of these for price of 1 same size.
Its all I need right now for frag system and from what I'm seeing on web they seem to be super nice tanks and happy people.

@LRT here is what I am thinking.

blue is overflows, red is closed loop and green is returns.

I really want acrylic for this, as glass is gonna be nasty heavy. But I do not want any bracing, so cost of 1” acrylic is more than 1” glass, or at least it used to be.

Is there an easy way to explain what you mean by closed loop?

Yes.

drill holes in bottom of tank. One holes is a larger feed hole.

other holes are return holes.

pump is below tank, usually on a stand to reduce head pressure. Water is pulled into pump and then a pipe with a manifold attached feeds all of the other holes. You use valves to adjust flow to each return. Pump is also typically an AC pump, as throttling a dc pump with valves is not recommended.

i'll just leave this here... :)

Lol now I hope you didn't think you would be able to pop in with this with no explanation hahaha.

As if you dont already have tons to do lol I have been talking about an upgrade for a year. Maybe I'll eventually get around to it lol.
Not like you can't just turn a little spot in that monster into shroom island like you already most likely have done.

Thank you, So am I understanding it correct that this closed loop is for flow? Water coming into the pump is not running through filtration before being returned to the water body correct?

Correct. Think integrated powerhead with multiple outlets. Usually used on large tanks or tanks where you do not want to see powerhead. The trick is hiding the outlets in rock piles lol.

that monti though...just seems out of place in there...:p
You're right but not to worry. I'm going to be bringing that back to Cali also. It rolled around the table doing nothing forever. Every since I sent it sweet nothings, TOOK OFF! That's the equivalent of licking it right?

Get in line.... ;)

Lol it is getting out of control.
Wife "loves" that piece so much hahaha Im still trying to convince her that I just want to make it smaller and frag it up.
Notice how those 2 huge shrooms that where in basket are now on rocks. She did that too. She is slowly but surely taking things over haha
