My mushroom's in a hole!

I bought a new mushroom coral and it has relocated itself into a hole (imagine poking you pinky finger into clay, or your mom's bad mashed potatoes). I can barely see any of it. Is there a good way to get it out? Maybe cover enough of the hole to make it dark in there so it will move?

That's too bad. You might have to break the rock to get it out

I'd try blowing it out (or sucking it out) with a turkey baster.
