jaw dropping I can't believe I made this for 182$

Okay, I've got to ask... How did you do your wall?!? That's so cool. I'm seriously thinking about doing a nano for my office, and this would be perfect!

I've never heard of it... where do you get it? And what did you use to paint it with???
So I DID NOT USE great stuff foam. I used a black waterfall foam and I sprayed it in and packed it with rock salt. I gave it a few days to dry and then washed it off. Then I would fill it drain it repeatedly till no salt was left.

If you attempt this there are a few precautions for reef tanks. I don't know what difference it makes but most people put a layer of resin on top.

The background looks fantastic!
People use the resin to seal the foam and to attach sand to the surface. Some of those foam products have additives to stop UV damage or weathering. Those additives can be harmful in a reef.

Is that why you can't use great stuff?

Cool! I think I'm going to give it a try. If I use sealant, I ougt to be able to paint to as well. I'm thinking the black, along with a dark redish to maroon color.
Thanks! Raymond

Well that turned out fantastic, following.!

the tank is almost 2 months old and is so easy to maintain
Starfish are a pain but other than that filter setup is working great
