think they would do ok with a blue hippo, kole tang?

I got it from Aquatic Marine for a special price. It should be fine with both tangs as it is an Acanthurus, Kole is Ctenochaetus and Hippo is Paracanthurus. If I understand the compatibility issue correctly, you can't mix tangs from the same species unless it's at the same time. Don't hold me to that, just info that I have gathered from the net.

And yes he is AWESOME!!!

I run 2 250 watt MH's with a Nova Extreme 4 build t5. I've been running an informal test on MH bulbs, on the left side I have a 14k ushio and on the right side I am running a 14k Phoenix. I installed both bulbs about six months ago and so far IMO, the Phoenix is the all around better bulb, for growth and color. I plan on swapping the t5 fixture with LED's for actinic's, when I can afford it.
