Thanks. I wanted a larger size to promote stability which doesn't necessarily mean I won't mess it up but I'll keep the updates going.
We used three 8 foot 2x4 boards and ran them under the crate (side to side) to give us 3 handles to lift from on each side. Not attached, just slid through under where the fork lift would pick the crate up. Your 6 friends can then easily lift and carry the entire crate and carry it to the door. Then switch to the suction cups. I don't think you will need the dolly doing it that way.
Well I also have the mixing station so its a free top off for some of them.
I thought about an all XR lighting solution but then thought better of it need some lights that are larger in size to ensure less shadows for flooding the tank with light and the XR lights will fill the spots that need higher par for SPS at least that was my thinking I could easily be all wrong about that. I wouldve preferred to fill with the LED solution from reefbrite but I had to again cut costs so I went with the T5 solution for now knowing it will actually cost me more in the long run.
A few things I've learned about buying fish tanks through the years. Its cheaper to buy used but the quality of the tank is usually sketchy so I prefer getting new ones. If you are buying a new tank always wait until Black Friday or around xmas to get the best deals.
So I don't actually have any way of tracking the humidity right now but I will probably pick up a kestrel before summer. I know it isn't an issue right now because it has been soooo cold and dry this winter in Virginia I'm topping my tanks off from evaporation every week. The basement is heated so it isnt as cold as say my garage but it doesn't heat as well down there as the house air temp is probably 68-70F when the house is at 72F.
