hey y’all, we just got a blastomussa coral and I’m a little worried! We got him 3 days ago and he hasn’t fully opened yet...there is still a little skeleton showing! I tried researching as much as possible but there isn’t much on these guys! All help and opinions welcomed

He’s in the bottom right next to the big rock!

I'm trying to remember I think my first one took a few days to open. After a week he was all puffed out. Just keep the water stable and you should be good to go. Mine has a bunch of baby heads growing now

Looks like it’s being shaded by your rock structure maybe try moving it out a little, mine gets a lot of light and seems to like it.

Nice rock. I agree more light. If that's a biocube, my son's likes it middle height

I think the Blasto it’s at a good location, at least for now.
Have you tried to watch after lights out? (3-4 hours after)
They tend to eat during night, so it should be open...

And Welcome!!!

My blastos don't like a lot of white light, I would keep it in the shade for a couple of days and then maybe start to move it out. My blastos also took a long time to open up fully. Some open up for people quicker than others. From what I saw I wouldn't worry this quickly, let it settle down and then start to look at whether or not it needs to be moved. Good Luck!!!
