So, I was finally able to find a Tailspot Blenny. I've seen a lot of pictures and did a lot of research. They've all been adorable! Mine showed up and it seems like his mouth is a bit off?

I've had him for 3 weeks now and he's really grown on me, but why does he look kind of like a Country gremlin with a jacked up mouth?

Also can someone move this? I didn't mean for ot to be in Aquascape.

Looks normal to me (though it’s not the best picture). I absolutely love my Tailspot, she’s got tons of personality. She’s got little hidey holes all over the tank and she’s constantly cleaning them out (she always takes whatever it is she’s cleaning out, algae, sand, etc, to the other side of the tank or as far away from hole as she can), she just goes from one hole to next stopping in between to eat algae off the rocks and glass. Definitely one of my favorites.

I got a tailspot and a bi colour ( about 3 days tailspot terrorising bi colour everytime came out from hiding but now they both get on and tag team my coral beauty when it picks at rocks, they very comical looking face and great character indeed, and they fit in the smallest of holes at sleeping time and just see their faces ha ha ,your picture not the greatest but does look like white tuffs/ growths ,look up lympho to see if look similar but could be just damaged its mouth as eating from the rocks as they like rasp off the rocks whilst switching ( mine eoes anyway )

They are the cutest

He/She has the sheepish look of a blenny that was caught doing something wrong. LOL. As if to say "It wasn't me I swear... it was the goby over there that did it." Haha. Super cute!

This seems to be what the issue was, the top of the mouth was damaged in a way that it looked like it was teeth. It seems to be healing and looking less like he's wearing a fake set of Bubba teeth. It is looking much better now.

Aslong as he eating then that's great but a fish with a damaged mouth who can't eat can go downhill fast,if you mean seems to be lympho then no treatment for lympho other than keep water clean for them,if you mean damage from rasping from the rocks but it's healing as time goes on then need keep eye on the fish.im not a fish diesese expert on medications and baths to aid our little fishy friends but @Jay Hemdal and @vetteguy53081 are so maybe they can give you some better advice than me ^_^

Yikes- this is a high level of deterioration. The concern I have is that they spend a good part of their day obtaining algae by scraping along glass and rocks to feed and with this damage, not sure how this will be possible or at least effectively. If there is an opportunity for healing and treatment, it would be best accomplished in a quarantine setting but the quarantine tank will likely lack its food requirements unless you can get it to eat frozen and nori which is hit and miss.
With its mouth like this, you may get it to eat spirulina brine shrimp and mysis shrimp but these will not meet its dietary needs in whole.
Treatment would be general cure or maracyn 2 . Either it will go in the right direction or fish will starve.

Unfortunately, that is the way he was shipped to me, but he has been healing without treatment on his own. Yesterday I put in some algae/seaweed in the tank and he ate quite a bit.

As with most marine fish, they have the ability to heal on their own and quickly. Its the way it eats, using its mouth that concerns me But if it is eating, you will fare well with this.
Not sure who in their right mind would ship a fish with a mouth looking like this ?

I took a couple of photos in the bag when I received him. I probably should have contacted the seller about it, but I didn't, so that is my own fault.
