Am in the mints of buying this chalice and I can't seem to find an ID for it. I was told it might be a gum drop chalice I wanted to get your opinion on the matter if I should pull the trigger if the price is right if it's not it might be to over priced if you guys can help me out that would be wonderful

That chalice if it's more than $150 your spending too much. They are decent growers. Cheaper just to buy a frag for around $30-40 and grow it out. You can probably get it back to that size in 6-12 months depending on how your tank is going. But if it's anything more than $150 your basically paying for time.

Is it over priced? Well that's really up to you, if you don't mind spending x amount then its a good price. Should you pull the trigger? Well do you like the way it looks and are you ok with the price? If so get the coral, who cares what name its been given.

It's going for $300 it's a bit bigger than a fist if that makes any difference but I also wanted to frag half of it and keep the branching part but at that price would be hard for me to justify spending that much for a unknown chalice but I do like it if it was $150 I would have bought it but I just wanted to make sure it was worth it at $300 do you guys think it's worth the $300? As I'll be fragging it to try to get money back because am not made of money lol an it would be the most I've ever spent on a coral but would be nice to try and frag some to practice

I sure as hell wouldn't spend $300 on it. It's nice, but not that nice. Maybe the owner will break off that small piece up top and sell that to you. It's definitely worth a shot. GL.
