my new jawfish

it took almost a week but the little pearly jawfish dug a hole to hide from the yellowtail black benny that seemed to be picking on him. the only thing is that since last night the hole has been closed with sand. should i do anything or is the jawfish ok and will come out for food when hungry?

I have one as well... has a small burrow up front under a rock. It gets covered regularly by the sand sifter. The jawfish more than likely has a back door exit that you don’t know about. Mine has 2 or 3...
I wouldn’t worry unless you don’t see it for several days.
