Local store got a few in, and I ended up getting the last one. They really are beautiful and it's already my favorite fish in the tank. =] Not too worried about this deepwater fish adjusting since they were in the store for few weeks already, and other local reefers who has purchased them seems to report that they are all fine. I'm going to acclimate for about an hour just to be on the safe side.

COOOOOOLIO!!!!!!! Nice!!

Sweet fish!

It looks like a sunburst anthias - is it related at all?

How much? sounds expensive

Thanks guys :) There isn't too much info. on them online, so if any of you can share any extra knowledge on these guys, I'd apprecieate it. Here's a discussion on them but nothing too helpful, but enough to gurantee that they will be able to adjust to our tank enviroments. http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1097513

It was really pricey, for a fish. I don't think I've ever paid so much for a fish before...lol. I'll snap some more pics in the morning.

Dang another fish to add to the list of got to haves.......Great looking fish.
That is one nice looking store there....

Congrats on the amazing fish....can't wait to see some pics in the tank. That LFS is incredible...I'm glad that something that incredible isn't close to me otherwise I would be taking out small loans every weekend...must be nice to have that sort of selection.

please excuse the poor quality pics from a crappy dica. this fish is extremely shy and it's almost impossible to get a good picture of him because he moves around constantly behind the rockworks.

so far the anthias has been eating just about anything i put in there, including pe mysis, brine, formula 1 & 2 flakes but he does seem to ignore some of the smaller frozen food varieties. he ONLY comes out when its feeding time, and seems to be slow at being comfortable in the tank. he's a pretty big guy, so it looks like he's going to be my #1 excuse to upgrade my tank size pretty soon. :)

also, so far no visual negative impact of the anthias adjusting to the higher temp. of the tank than its habitat. also, the difference in the water pressure doesn't seem to affect him much. he must have been brought up carefully by the divers because most report that deep water fish often dies too easily when brought up to the surface too quick
