My new project

Got some maintenance done this morning. Pulled the return pump and took it apart for a thorough cleaning. I also cranked it up a little from about 1/2 power to ~2/3 power. Much better flow for the Goni now.
Changed 2 gallons of water and once things settle down, I’ll perform some tests. Cal, Alk, Mg, Phos and adjust dosing pump as necc.

Well, we had a little mishap yesterday. I fed my tank and went outside to deal with some snow accumulation. When I got back inside about 30 minutes later, I found my very beautiful, very healthy and VERY well behaved Six Lined Wrasse on the floor. Yup, he went carpet surfing.
My Wife & I are heartbroken over it. We’ve had Six Lines before that were real jerks but this guy was super peaceful. I know they are jumpers but never had an issue with any of the ones I’ve had in the past.
At least he went with a full belly!
Rest Easy Rasputin! :(

Picked up a nice, healthy (looking) Diamond Goby today. He’s busy excavating a home right now. I’ll try to get a picture ASAP!

My new “secret weapon” (recipe) For my corals

Great tip! Thanks for sharing!

Got pretty involved in projects today and never turned off the heat in the house. It was pretty warm out today. It was the perfect test of the Inkbird controlled cooling fan. It kicked on @79* and went off at 78*. At least now I know it works. ;)

Picked up a really nice LT Plate yesterday. Beautifully striped. It seemed to settle in nicely but still not fully extending tentacles yet this morning. Hoping to gat a better picture when it fully opens.
