Crazy pretty pieces!!

I don't know if there are many dead bacteria in the skim foam. I remember having seen a paper where someone analysed that foam. There was a lot of N, but extremly little P.
Ok but i theory it's the concept for the carbon dosing. Dosing carbon you fuel the bacteria that for grows they adsorbs Nitrates and Phosphates. THe life cycle of bacteria is very small so the continuously reproduce and dead and they'll be removed from the water via protein skimmer.
The really problem in my tank is that seems that i've a lot of po4 depot in organic form, not measurable. Dosing carbon and bacteria they are transforming the organic po4 to inorganic and now i can measure it via photometer/icp.
So at this point seems more carbon i dose, more phosphates i've in the water.
The only way to control at this point is via gfo combined via carbon source, untile the will be removed completely.
It's a very strange situation because i've no dirty rock or tank. Only po4 over the range they should be.

vibrant colors ... some change in your maintenance routine??
??

What is the height of the sand?

Hey Oly, what a beautiful tank you have there!!
I was wondering what ur led settings are since you have a powermodule.
I also have the 8x54 3x75 hybrid but some of my acros start to stn at the tips while my kh is stable at 8.15..

I had my blue and royal blue both on 255 and the white on 35 with the led cluster open for 90% combined with the t5. I think it is led burn so I was wondering what ur settings are

Awesome tank, really like the aquascape and choice of fish.

Hi
If your No3 is close to zero, KH 8.15 could be to high. That can cause burned tips on acros.
During the day, I use the preset "Best power mix" 255/255/150/255 (violett/blue/royal/white). the last 2 hours are a setting like: 130/255/255/0.
the intensity is 65%. I get huge problems with Dino / Shifting / bleaching etc when I put it over 70%.
