This is my first scoly and I think its a good one. Its a bit upset in this pic, not too happy after the dips and new tank. I'm assuming on the sand bed is ok (250w phoenix and t5's) with lower-medium flow?

What do you all think?

Looks good. Your assumptions on flow and placement should be just fine. Good pick up!

I bet under actinics you room looks like a spaceship has landed.....If it's that bright under regular lights you won't even be able to look at it under actinics.

I'll see when the Halides go out but I think youre right. Just a side note, that pic wasnt shopped a bit (no contrast, saturation, nothing), straight upload to bucket. To be honest the color is actually much better in person.

I think its just the combo of Phoenix 250s with UVL T5's. I would love to see it under some Radiums.

THANKS FOR THE COMPLIMENTS EVERYBODY

Just out of curiosity, what dip did you perform? Great looking scoly, hopefully I will soon follow!

Here is an actinic shot, white balance adjusted so it doesnt look like I took the picture through blue Jello. Its also looking much happier now. The dip was revive then a Iodine dip. Trying to keep the pests at bay...
