My new skimmer

I'm a proud new owner of a brand spanking new AquaC Remora protein skimmer. This is an upgrade to my CPR-Bak Pak which was really loud and produced a huge amount of bubbles and salt creep. So far it is much, much quieter and there's very little to no bubbles coming off the outlet, which is remarkable for a new skimmer. I've never been more excited to see skimmate!

nice. was that the only option? i just recently picked up a new aquamaxx hob1, couldnt be happier.

so bubbles are bad in a skimmer?

i think the reference is to bubbles exiting the skimmer, into the DT.

Yeah, I should have clarified about the bubbles entering my DT. I had looked at the Aquamaxx and the Reef Octopus BH-90. I chose the AquaC because of the black acrylic which is supposed to limit algae growth in the skimmer and the spray injector which is supposed to be more efficient. They also had a DT set up with a Remora at my LFS and my wife and I were impressed by how quiet it ran.
