Whats the size of them, they looks rather super small to start breeding have they paired up yet?

I wouldn't get too rushed into it. They will probably take a while to spawn, if they do. They'll need to get used to their environment, etc. Have they started hosting that carpet yet? My Picassos took two weeks to jump into my anemone once I put it in there.

Also have you ever delt with breeding clowns before or is this your first time?

The snowflakes are male and female, but they need to grow a couple inches, and will breed in a few months like I said. This is my first time, but my f. Percs will be breeding first. The clownfish next to the nem is one of the f. Percs a couple months ago. They are in a different tank now, they have never hosted in the 3 months or so that I have had them. They are cleaning the tank like crazy and the female is almost big enough to beat up my hawkfish, but they have always been friends, so that wouldnt have to happen. I hope that the snowflakes will host, the female has been interested in the nem, usually she hangs out a couple inches above it facing the nem in the morning, but she hasnt dove in then jumped out yet.

Beautiful clowns. I really like the snowflakes and picassos, hopefully they'll be in my price range some day.;)

I'm in that boat with ya dude. I really wish i could afford those the snowflakes! I think Reef Odyssey sells them too and I live near him! i'll be hitting up Ian one of these days. Keep up posted on the progress!

Lol I know what you mean. I plan on selling them cheap, all regular snowflakes will go for what? $50? I think that sounds pretty cheap. Any snowflakes with two connected stripes should be $75, and all three stripes $150, that is if I dont keep them. Then I plan on breeding clowns with all three stripes connected. If 90% of the offspring turn out like their parents, then I will sell them for $75 each.

plus one to dougers i really like clowns especially the designer ones but i just can't see paying that much for clownfish. I understand if you are going to try and breed them because then you get to look at it as more of an investment and tell the wifey well look honey if they breed i can make money. anyhow good luck on the venture

Thanks, the only thing they need to do is host my carpet nem, then my tank would be almost complete.. Im thinkin that I will grow four or five giant chalice colonies.

nice score one the snowflakes but i gotta say i like the picasso's better still some very nice clowns though
