My new SPS build

looking good Jason.!
when are you filling it up?
Well I am waiting on lights. Sort of got ripped off for 600.00 so waiting for the paypal claim to close so I can order them again. First seller stopped replying after I sent him the money

So a few updates.

Lights in
Aquascape done and water added.

Very nice, what lights are those?

I live in Japan. There are slight differences in the way an overflow and return line is made in Japan. But yes this is all made here in Japan except the Vertex Skimmer and Zeo Reactor.

That's looking great! I've heard a little of those lights. Keep us updated on how you like them!

I will. I got three of them for less than one XR30W. They are controllable with my cell phone and came with the mounting arms and hanging kit if you choose to hang them.

So some pluses,
Compact
No disco effect
90 and 120 degree lenses
Cell control
Small size
6 color channels

Now let's see if they grow coral, lol they have all the features of a good light and it sounds like they are a good price. They kind of look like 2 UFO's hovering above your tank. Gonna have to look those up.

I believe they are only using Cree and Bridglux LEDs as well. I could be wrong.

So another update.

After being super happy with the new Coral Box Moon LED lights I decided I would give another two more products a try. So today was like Christmas.

I received the new dosing container and cross flow wave maker. The customer service has been top notch and packaging was perfect. Also the quality of the acrylic work is top notch.

Now on to the more exciting product. Today I receive my new dosing package. Since the light and WaveMaker are controlled via WiFi I have decided for now to forgo a controler. The led me to go with the Pacific Sun Kore 5th and mixing station. This unit is capable of .01ml, has a temp probe and alarm for tank, does AWC with two DC Pumps, ATO with the 3rd DC pump and an optical sensor for the ATO.

This side shot is so you can see the size of the wave maker and dosing unit. Only problem I am having now is how to mount the dosing unit. Normally I would try to do it in the stand but my room is limited.

I love the cross flow. It is more quite than my MP40WES pump. I think one thing they did that was very smart was to mount the magnet to the pump to the magnet using 8 x 1/4" shock absorbers. So while it is already very quiet not even any vibration makes its way toto the glass.
