Is there anything you do to achieve the nice light colors besides just low nutrients? Also curious as to what you think the most important part of keeping the nano tank was? . Low nutrient issues has scared most people towards high nutrient dark coloration sps tanks.
I think the combo low nutrient, high light and high flow, stable parameters is just everything corals need. Sometimes I add some amino acids but is hard to tell if it´s working or not.
I was running my nano without skimmer but I had a hang on filter with some GFO and I did weekly water changes. I used to dose balling as well. Very simple.
I don´t like dark colors. I think I just try to replicate what we can see in the ocean, very low no3 and po4.
