My new stingray

I just picked up this guy yesterday. This morning I saw the red mark over huis eye, anything to worry about

I’ve never had one but I have to agree. Any time I’ve ever seen them on display anywhere, they were on sand.
Oh I see, I was just thinking maybe the grain size is too large, again I know nothing about rays just my opinion
 
+1. your substrate is wrong and I'd be willing to guess your tank is to small for it as well. I'd return it b4 it dies. most rays require like 200ish gallons and sand and are for expert animal keepers. You clearly have a reef tank and rays are not reef safe, and require colder temps than most reef tanks. Research is key before making purchases.
