Paid for this fish last week
I pick it up tomorrow , popped into the store today to check on it and its eating well and looking good
Am told the name is a powder brown tang ... can't wait to get her him out of the shop and in to qt

Hope for you is the only acanturide in your tank vincent
 
Actually it's Acanthuras nigricans, whitecheek aka gold rim tang. Very similar to the powder brown but I have heard they are quite a bit more sensitive and can be more aggressive. I don't have any personal experience with them so this is only what I have read and heard. I hope you have a very strict QT process for this fish.

And a Caribbean blue tang
All get along well
The new fish Is a bit bigger than the rest so I hopping he can hold he's own , if not than I'll sell him back to the Lfs , they said lots of people have tried to buy him but I got to him first paid up front and got a big fat sold sign slapped on the glass lol

X2 this is a goldrim tang, but actually also confusingly known as the "true powder brown tang". Either way it is the acanthurus nigricans.

If you do not quarantine and treat all of your fish for parasites unfortunately you are almost certain to lose this beautiful fish. Edit it looks like you at least quarantine, so I will just leave this here for the casual reader^

It looks to be in good health (although a bit thin). Red nori will fatten that beauty up quickly ;)
