Hi Everyone, I hope you are all well, im new here and just wondered if I could have advice. I am going away for a couple of days and I have a new tang as of from yesterday, the going away part was unexpected. This morning he had a few white spots and I was gutted. So the first question is, is this normal for him to have the spots, I know they are touchy, I did all I should have, water condition is fine, he is only in with clowns and he hid yesterday. I turned the lights off and today he is already out swimming and eating In less than 24 hours is that good, the only downside is the spots. On top of that I cant quarantine as I just don't have the space and I have inverts any suggestions, for healing and treating?

Secondly with the feeding, and having to go away for two days, I have a seaweed clip and I habe pellets and flakes for my atomatic feeder, should that be fine until I get back to carry on with frozen food? Thank you everyone

Yes you should be fine, just DON"T overfeed.
Stress could be a factor & a few days in peaceful surroundings will help.

I'm no expert on fish disease but a picture of the fish could probably help those much more qualified than me. Assuming it is a parasitic infection, then I don't believe there is much of a treatment that you can do without a qt tank. Often the treatment is copper or hyposalinity, but as you already seem to know your inverts wouldn't survive. If treating isn't an option then I would just make sure to feed the fish well (not enough that it causes nutrient problems though) and hope he fights it off on his own. Generally speaking leaving a fish for a few days is not an issue, although with a potentially sick fish I would be more concerned, as you also seem to be.

Again pics would help determine if the spots are a parasite, or hopefully something harmless like lympho.
