Hey everybody.my tank was filled about two weeks ago.
It is 32g tank and the location of my tank is alight during day but there are no sun light and my lighting which made by 22 LEDs (each one is 3 watts) will be turned on for 8 hours during night.
I can see many algae in my live rocks and sands as pictures below .
There are no fishes in my tank.
Is it natural?whats your suggestions for controlling the algae?

Yes. Completely natural for a cycling tank. Just give it time and it will go away on its own. You should be checking your parameters Dailey and you can watch your cycle. Amonia, nitrite and nitrate levels. Once they reach 0, do a 20% water change and after a few days of stability your ready for life.

Thanks for your replying.
Then i shouldn't move my tank to a dark place?
Because i thought the reson of this problem was alight location.
It's very hard to moving the tank it's in the best position of my apartment.

I have one more question.
I want to know if yellow tail damsel is good for my tank or not? I heard that damsels are aggressive and is not suitable for a tank as size as mine.
Is it true?what about yellow tail damsel?

Congrats your on your way to a reef tank.you have to go through the nasties to get to the goodies.its all normal part of your tank maturing.good luck in your tank.

Damsels are very territorial. If it's the only fish, no problem. But if you plan on other fish, better think twice. A word or advice, plan out what fish you want. Then stock your tank in the correct order. Less aggressive and less territorial first. Let them establish their home in a peaceful environment before the territorial fish come in. Also add a fish, wait a week or 2 for the system to adjust to the bioload before adding another fish.

If you have live rock your tank will clean up and have coraline growing everywhere in no time. The algae is totally normal and next you will probably have some hair algae. I would suggest getting a lawnmower blenny or another blenny to combat the algae. But wait until you have algae or they will be hungry.
In my opinion, I would shy away from any damsel. I had one for 7 years and his name was "dick" for obvious reasons. He was the meanest little inch and a half fish you could ever imagine. Picture like a little demon Cichlid. I wish I had never got him, he killed many fish until they sorted out whos who. Good luck and happy reefing!

I have enough live rock and i hope they can do their duty well.

Yellow tailed damsels are beautiful fish. But damsels can get very aggressive. In a 32 gallon, I would suggest only peaceful fish that are suitable for a nano tank.

Hey
As you can see in picture below diatoms are grownig up very fast and they cover my sands and all of my live rocks.
I think there is a problem in my tank.
