My new tank

well i could not resist having a tank in the garage/fish room. so here i am starting over.

here it is being filled for the first time.


its a custom acrylic tank made by nextreef. its great and dangerous having them so close by.


tank dimensions are 70l*15w*12h
i had custom frag racks made up that hold 60 frags each.



lighting is going to be 3 ai sol blues

this will be a sps dominated tank..
i am aiming for 70-100x turn over. Will adjust to how corals respond of course. i will also be dosing this tank with two part. i had great success with b-ionic so that is what i will be sticking with. any questions please dont hesitate to ask

Nice start. You should have a lot of room for SPS corals to grow out in that thing.

I would add some more cross bracing to the stand though. From the pictures it looks as though one good shove from either end and the whole thing could collapse. Maybe I am missing something, just would hate to have something like that happen.

Its actually shot into the wall and tapconed into the floor. I think the garage will fall before the tank does

Ok good. Couldn't tell that from the picture. I just know it would stink to have a stand collapse once this thing is up and running.

I would definetly add some bracing to connect the legs to each other. Some 2x4s on the floor to connect the legs....can never be too safe

Picked a skimmer up last night. I'm pretty impressed with it so far. I purchased the bubble Magnus wave 5. Started producing skimate a few hours after I set it up
