Hi guys . Just set the new tank up . It's been running for 3 days now . I bought it of eBay. And I wasn't to confident when I walked in his house . He had a fresh water tank . And I couldn't see the fish in there through the green water lol. I had a load of rock which was leaching phosphate. So ended up buying new from h2o aquatics. I purchased their ultra rock . Which looks great
Been testing the water and no ammonia yet . Don't think there was much die off. Any ways here are some pics

Very nice and clean setup.

I am planning to get a uv sterilizer. Trying to figure out where I am going to put it though lol

Very nice!

Hi guys . The tank has been setup for two weeks now .
As stated before I have added 20 kg of quality live rock to the system . And over 8kg of live rock to the sump .
Also 25kg live sand
I have had 0 ammonia. 0 nitrite for all this time .
My nitrate is at 4ppm
Phosphate is 0
I have a diatom bloom which started around 4 days ago. And is still going strong .
Most of the time my ph is 8.2 / 8.3
It dropped a few days ago to 8.0
So I added a airline to my skimmer which seem to work and 1.5 days later it returned to 8.3 .
Now I tested all my levels today and my ph as dropped to 7.8 .
Which I ain't to happy about . I have read a bit and come to a conclusion that it could the bacteria using up the oxygen in the water . And causing this issue .
Anyone's help would be appreciated in this matter .
Thanks
