After having a good many items just sitting around for 7-8 years, including 90 gallon tank with stand and canopy, and Pukani rock, I am FINALLY actually getting things moving on my first reef tank. Long story but I had to postpone many times.
Over last few weeks I cured rock and it’s sitting in sun for about a week to make sure all chlorine gasses off. Then I will start the rock cycle process in tank.
I was very surprised at all the gunk and yuk that was hidden in the Pukani. There was also over an inch of sand in the bottom of bin I used for soaking.
I fortunately have a well experienced person that is helping me get it set up soon.

Here are a few pictures.

Glad you’re pulling that tank out. That rock is too nice not to use.

@MrWheelock was right, and funny. I can’t say how many pix I wish I had.

Maybe start a build thread under member tanks so we can follow and score that sweet build badge.

beautiful tank

Don't be like me and put it off for 2 years and lose almost all the photos! Good looking rocks, ill be following along.

I should have taken a picture of all the gunk that came out when I soaked the rocks. I knew I would get stuff out of it but had no idea it would be THAT nasty. I’m so glad I took advice and did that. That will cut weeks, if not longer, on getting tank up and running.
