Hi, my name is Shadman, and I am new to r2r. This is my first reef thank. I have a 54g corner tank, with sump, skimmer , UV sterilizer, 2 step doser, ph reactor, and just bought a hydra 52 ( which is created more questions and realization that how much I don't know). As I mentioned, I am new and I am at the mercy of my retailer. So I am constantly trying to read and learn from others. It is like going to a foreign country and do not speak the language or know anything about their culture. Exciting, but overwhelming. Looking forward to sharing this new adventure with all of you,and learn from your experience.

Welcome to R2R, what a beautiful tank, how long has it been running? For being new to this it looks like you've been doing it for some time. :)

Thank you for you kind words. I started this tank f6 months ago. I bought some of the more matured corals from a friend who was relocating. I went through few nice fish and corals ( which is very heart breaking ) and few sets of light out of my ignorance.

Here's the best part of our own ignorance...it makes great opportunity for learning.

I would recommend starting a new thread in the equipment forum, specifically the LED section. I think you will get more help there specific to your question. Just a thought.

Let us know here and in your new thread what lights you are using now.

Thank you for your suggestion. Besides the fact that I am a beginner in Reef Tank, I am also new in this forum. I will start a new thread as you suggested. I am using Hydra 52 on my tank.
