My now Softie tank.

Well I have decided to only keep soft corals now. This tank has been running for almost 3 years now believe it or not. It had SPS and LPS with a few softies. But a few nightmares seen them off. So now I am slowly going to add softy frags, trying to find unusual is difficult near me. I hope the video works and in good quality.... should be in full HD.

If you look back at old GSP articles they are known as Pachyclavularia a short polyp lash that looks smooth. Then you had a similar polyp known as Briareum, and that had a long bright lash on the polyp. Know it all seems to get called Briareum, what I have is Briareum.

Thanks. Added to my list. Different look than the traditional GSP although most I've just found after you provided the name seem more tan or brown. Pretty much a soft and lps coral guy here so always looking for something new.

Just noticed your location is in the UK. I just got home on the 8th / Sunday morning from the UK. Two week stay in Reading and Newbury for work. The bank holiday(s) around Easter made it a bit difficult to get around and visit but I did make it around those two towns and a day in London. Also Portsmounth(?) and Stonehenge on Easter. Weather killed me - I think I saw maybe the sun once or twice Reminded me a lot of like Seattle when I traveled there. Still wrecked from the jet lag.

Ricordea Florida are hardy and very nice shrooms. If your having a soft coral tank some of these are a must.

Rhodactis mushrooms are the biggest shrooms I have, they can reach 10cm across. Again these are hardy and they come in some great textures and colours.

I have a cluster of a green photosynthetic Nephthea an easy coral that can fill a good space.

Sarcophyton corals are known as toadstools some have bright discs, bright polyps, short polyps or long polyps. And they can get huge, I have seen some 2ft across.

Scleronephthea is a lovely colourful carnation coral, and they are a bright non photosynthetic Nephthea type coral. So it does not contain Zooxanthellae so it needs feeding.

Blue Clavularia is a little blue polyp that grows from a thin trail like a web on a rock. It can explode and get out of hand. But it does look nice dotted about the tank.

Black Sphaerella also known as a Christmas tree coral is a non photosynthetic. Just like Scleronephthea it is a medium difficulty non photosynthetic.

Sinularia is nice one that fills out with lots of tiny polyps. Excuse the photo but it' at the back of the tank, I will get a photo when I next put the phone in the water.
