My Nuvo 20

Looking good! Any updates?

Thanks! Lol I've been lazy with updates. I'll try to add some pics soon, tank has been really ugly lately. Just finished battling dinos (caused a pretty big coral die off) and have some nice bubble algae growth. I'm switching the lighting to t5s either tomorrow or the next day, trying to focus on SPS and I think its a little more appropriate light source for them.

Cool, looking forward to the updated pic's. T5's are great, I've used T5's and Kessil's over a planted tank and while the shimmer from the Kessil's is nice the color that the T5's bring out can't be beat.

Here is an update on the 20. Things that have changed: The 4 clowns didn't work out in the long run (go figure) the davinci was returned to the LFS and the black ice is in my pico, while the mocha and frostbite are residing in this system. The old powerheads have been removed and replaced with an mp10qd, and a pico skim 2.0 has been added. Lighting change to a 4-bulb T-5 fixture is TBD, need to figure out a safe way to mount it without drilling holes in the wall (I'm in an apartment and don't feel like having to patch the walls when we inevitably move out). This is likely the ugliest my tank has been (and hopefully will be) between being busy with my last semester in school, a bad dinoflagellate outbreak, and the always annoying eyesore bubble algae. I can't remember the last time I did a water change (I gave up a little bit when the dinos where at there worst), so some things are looking pretty sad while others are looking great.

Here is a FTS. I'm not really happy with the layout of the tank, but I'm hesitant on pulling everything out and switching the aquascape.

The chalices have been looking pretty great lately, especially the one in the middle (it's been growing pretty rapidly).

The lobo has colored back up which is nice, it's probably my favorite coral in this tank.

And this porites is really neat, I'm excited to see how it continues to develop. Not sure where I'm going to place it yet.

I have wanted one of those Darth Maul Porites since they hit the market years ago.

Another lazy update:
This is probably the best any of my tanks has ever looked, and surprisingly the lowest maintenance I've ever done. A couple weeks ago my wife and I wanted to rearrange our living room so I had to move my tanks (and I put them on a new stand). I do a WC like once every 2-3 weeks now, and use kalkwasser in the ATO. The sps in the tank are doing fantastic (while I'm pretty sure the nutrients in the tank are much higher than the "required" values). While I still have a tiny bit of hair algae and some bubble algae, I can finally just look at my tank without getting frustrated.

Added this chalk bass last week, it's a super cool fish.

September update:

- The RBTA started to sting the SPS it was around so I decided to move it, doing so I accidentally broke the large pukani rock that it was residing upon. This resulted in the new scape.

- I also changed the side the MP10 is on, not convinced on keeping it on this side.

- All corals are doing great besides a small acro frag that rtn'd.

- A quarter sized Hippo tang was added as a grow out for a buddies big system. (I love it lol it eats like a pig and acts like a clownfish).

- Dinos still haven't been seen since adding the UV sterilizer, and bubble algae is disappearing finally (thanks to my emerald crabs).

- Also I'm moving next month so that should be fun, glad it's definitely not the first time I've moved a tank.
