Long story short, I had a nicely established large S. gigantea, but had to move it to a stock tank for over a year. When I got it back in glass, I lowered the intensity of my Radions significantly and they were also further away, but my gig bleached out within a day and a half. Basically, I went to work the day after moving it and came home to a notably bleached anemone. It just withered away and disappeared. I believe that the glass reflected so much more light than the black plastic that the effective light intensity was just too much.
Well, I'm fighting an aptasia infestation and found a little something under my rock that looks like a bleached out anemone that is holding the traditional gigantea folded posture. Now, its tiny, but I'm hoping that it just might be it.
Thoughts?
