This instalation is rated at:
14,5 Megawatt annual.
Maximaal i saw was 110Kilowatt/day.
In less than 3 months this installation already saved me about 800 euro on the electric bill for my reeftanks.

Your PV system looks great and appears to be performing well. I see you have SolarEdge inverter/optimizers. What type of pv panels did you install? I’m in the industry and always curious what people have installed. My system in SolarEdge and LG. Looking forward to watching your panorama reef progress.

I have a total of 63 sharp NDAK275 panels
I have considered LG 335WP panels and would have choosen those also, but given de price i could get these sharp panels with my supplier it was a no a brainer (LG was more than double the cost)

It's a usefull and very flexible system.
I plan to glue it from glasplates (like a tank).
But you never know how it progresses. sometime i might take shortcuts

Today i went out to buy multiplex panels to lay under the tank. I purchased 3 panels with size 244x122, 12mm thick.
Now only 2 bolts for each stand to anchor them to the wall and it's ready for the tanks.

Today i recieved this package
The U-Reef will be controlled by GHL Profilux and the KH Director.

Normaly i build everything myself with discrete components. After all those years doing DiY it was time to try something more advanced.
It seems GHL has been running along quite a while and they produce state of the art products.

I am excited.....

dont have any but sure do love em. i saw a system awhile back where some did the tube but drilled the tank for it. do they use the tube to travel between tanks? how did you fell it, maintenance it? very curious about all this.

we over build our stands in the us so much. but that does look on the light side IMHO but looks like you know what you are going so i'll keep back and enjoy the process! how far apart are the support braces?

love this build!
are you making the tank your self as well? so cool you guys over there get to build it in house.

Haha... i myself can't find the time to read and watch everything. So i don't expect anyone to see all. Butterflies are very nice indeed. Pity many avoid those because the fear for their expensive and precious corals.
Drilling can be done but there more risk for the tank to break or leaks afterwards.
Yes... few of them swim back and forth during the day. Watch the xanthurum go in and out at 22-30 seconds
Because the tube is from grey PVC there was no need to keep it clean, so near zero maintenance.

The total weight is high, but is distributed to several beams in the lenght making each beam carry it own weight. Which is no more force on a single beam than that of a smaller tank(less lenght same widht/hight)
I have a similar tank with 550 liter lookthrough tank build with smaller beams for near 5years already and standing rocksolide.

Distance beams: depth 80cm / width ~80cm

Yes... i will be putting it together myself with the help of a few friends for the lifting and position during kitting (4meter glas is about 100 kilo)
