Great idea

It seems appropriate to share backup power ideas now. This isn't meant to be a comparison to other solutions. I'm just sharing what I am doing. I use an inverter with 12v lead acid batteries.

I have one of these https://www.aimscorp.net/2000-Watt-Pure-Sine-Wave-Inverter.html

And three of these https://www.batteriesplus.com/product-details/marine_rv/battery/duracell-ultra/sli27mdc

What can you run on your tank and for how long? I like the idea of not starting generators and running cords out window etc

Luckily, I haven't had to fully test it on my tank yet. I would guess that it would run critical components for 2-3 days.

Note: I built this as an off-grid / camping power source with a 12v solar panel. The capacity is based on how much weight 2 people could easily carry but it could be scaled up if it didn't need to be portable.
