So can anyone help diagnose when I try to take pictures of my tank all the pics are purple?
My phone is a Galaxy Note 3
and my light is a Reef Radiance DM 12-e

The lighting is quite blue and beautiful, my tank looks amazing, but when i try to capture it on camera I get this!

I'm not sure that phone will have a white balance setting. If it does have presets, you'll get a better image using the cloudy day setting.

Your other option would be a filter lense kit. They make them for phones. They pull the blue light out of the picture.

Search on ebay or Amazon and something will come up. I'd provide a link but I'm on break at work.

Thanks so much! Super quick reply! I'll look into both.

Edit: I do have a cloudy setting on my phone and I will try that when I get home. Also at work! Thanks again!

I'm sure there are other ways. But mine always came out blue. I got these "coral vision glasses" and check out the difference

Agree....white balance (if possible) or use a set of gels which could be had for about five bucks.

Not this one. Years ago I had a green center purple one that ate my pearly jawfish. Lol

When I had the NOTE3 I experienced the same problem. There were not as many filter options when i had it, but you may have more now you can download from Samsung. I found 2 apps to use as a replacement:

Snapseed
PicsArt

Snapseed seems a little easier - play with the "warmth" "ambiance" and "saturation" settings - decreasing all - that may help with removing much your purple issue.

Good luck!
