My pistol shrimp is a theif!

So I DID have a small rock/frag with about 4-5 zoa's on it...NOW I DONT. Did the pistol shrimp take it into their den? I can't find it anywhere...and if it is under there will they die? It's not pitch dark under the reef and that dang shrimp has cleared most the sand out from under it...
Had anyone ever had a theif pistol shrimp???

Yepp, mine steals frags that arnt attached. If theres light under there they could survive but my shrimp never puts anything in the light

Btw, we also generally think of these guys as sand bound bottom dwellers but mine will climb anywhere in the tank to snag building materials even right from the frag rack. They do seem to go for easy stuff first so littering the area around their den with rubble frag plugs shells etc seems to help.

I'm pretty sure ill have to just write off those zoa's...hard lesson to learn...I will now glue my small rock frags to the live rock... And what does he need a rock down their for, he has literally pushed most the sand out, the goby just sit In one hole or another keeping watch.
