My Pom poms crabs mating or eating

I found my Pom pom cabs hugging each other. I can't get a decent enough view on them to tell what they are up to but I sure hope they aren't eating one another.

Doesn't look like eating, either mating or just crabs doing weird stuff for no easily discernable reason (it happens)

I checked back on them about an hour later and they were still the same.
The following day (today), I confirmed all my Pom poms to be alive and on their own so they might've been mating or just being weird.
