My poor McCosker's wrasse...will he make it?

After a successful QT, I decided to transfer him to my DT today. And he got his bottom lip stuck in the net and I couldn't get it off. I had to cut the net. Afterwards, I did a search and realize this is fairly common with this fish. I'm going to feed the tank later and see if he can eat - I do know it's attached to his bottom lip, not the top, so I think he'll be able to eat. But man, will this ever come off? He seems OK in the tank and after a short stress reaction is swimming around fine right now.

Well, he seemed to eat just fine, and is swimming around OK, but man, he just looks so pitiful. I hope it comes off soon, will it?

I had to cut a fish free once but the netting didn't stay on like that after.

I use a plastic colonder to transfer fish now so nothing can get stuck to them. Nets seem dangerous. I see a lot of online retailers move fish with their hands.

Yeah, hind sight is 20/20 of course LOL.

As of 10 am this morning, it was still stuck to him but by noon it was gone. Yay! Now if my midas blenny would just leave him alone...
