My poor Mystery baby

I am literally going to cry. My poor Mystery Wrasse has passed away. I had him for about 1 year and out of nowhere he just goes. He ate really good and was coloring up really nice. I have no idea how this happened. No sudden changes in the tank, all the other fish are happy. Corals are looking great. The only adjustment i made was increase my 2 part doser. He had a little bit of slime coming out of his gills when i pulled him out. What could’ve happened?

Other than the dip do you treat for anything else if fish are asypmtomatic? Or did this fish go through copper?

Wrasse are difficult to spot disease on due to their thick slime coat. Often we see Wrasse get to the point of not eating and being lethargic prior to outward symptoms of disease. Not always the case, but more than often than not.

This was more sudden than anything. He eats the most out of everyone and basically was my little king in the tank there were no signs of scraps, bites only slime coming out of his gills
