My pulsing xenia frag is shrinking?!

So I bought a $20 pulsing xenia from a local store and my tank which is a mixed 125gal with 40 gal dual refugium has other softies doing too good like my Kenya tree's are growing everywhere, and the only thing that's changed is I added gfo & carbon to my brs dual reactor and my phosphates first tested at 2.50 ppm on my hanna po4 tester but now are down to 1.46 ppm in 3 days could this be a shock to my frag. Now I just moved it so it's a tiny bit smaller then it's been but not too much and it's still pulsing and you can see my Kenya tree's are growing everywhere and if anyone wants some cheap frags I'll gladly cut some for you I live near Philadelphia so I tried turning the led whites down and up nothing seems to matter but my other corals look great and I'll be adding sps frags next week after I get my po4 levels down.

"I added gfo & carbon", you might have over polished the water too quickly. I too would check Alk. Sounds like a water chemistry issue and GFO can cause a drop in alk and there by a drop in pH, not all share that opinion but it should be considered. You might have to adjust your mag as well so you'll need values for Ca/alk/mag.

How can I fix this would a water change help, my chaeto and calaupra are growing decent

Which is 7.0 dkh which is fine (the value of normal sw), you do not want to go down to 6 though. I would remove the GFO or cut back on the quantity and do water change in the near future. I doubt there is much utilization in your tank based on the corals, so no big rush.

Thanks I'm doing a much needed water change and gravity vaccing the bottom tank but I use only Rodi that's uv sterilized from my well water and I add red sea foundations abc+ powder mix
