So I purchased two 24" blue pop e5's from a fellow member the other day and got them in last night. Today I popped one in and took a couple par readings.

I normally run ATI B+, P+, B+, B+ (seen on right)
I set up the test light as B+, P+, e5, B+(seen on Left)

To the eye the old setup looks brighter, the new setup does look slightly bluer and not as bright. However it is still daytime and I do have light coming through a window so I will see what it looks like tonight.

So here is the setup: 2x Nano Box Reef T5/Led hybrids hanging 9" from the top of the water. I took readings with a BioTek Marine BTM3000 with the sensor just above the water and another with the sensor approx 1" below the top of the water.

So on to the readings. I turned the led's off and....

Reading on top of water: e5 setup 172 T5 setup: 182

Reading 1" below water: e5 setup 125 T5 setup 140

Adding led on top: led/e5 421 led/t5 467

Thanks for the post. All in all I'm not surprised really. The b+ is so consistent and holds its part value much longer than other bulbs. There is a thread here where it showed after a significant burn time the b+ still had the same par as when it was new.
