I just realized a mistake I have been making with my Radion XR30 Pro G4’s maybe it will help some other people. I was running my lights using the Reeflink the lights were running at 85% in a modified AB+ schedule with diffusers on RMS mounts. I switched to running the lights using Mobius. I thought I had set the program the same way in Mobius 85% AB+. Over the last couple of weeks I noticed corals browning and my growth had really slowed down. I also noticed that the tank looked a little dim. I did the usual testing and saw my phosphates had popped up to .11 which I then attributed to the browning. So I ran Rowa and carried on thinking eventually they’ll color back up. Today again I looked and the tank was dim and the corals still were browner than I’d like so I decided to break out the seneye. My par was 90 at the top of my rocks! And in the 30s at the sand bed. This last two months I’ve been starving them of light. I looked in Mobius and noticed the schedule button at the bottom. Mine said 50%. I couldn’t believe I had missed this when programming. I thought I was running at 85% turns out I was running at 50% of my 85%. I cranked it to 100 and saw a difference immediately. I had found my problem! I lowered it back down to 65% and will raise it over the next few weeks back to 100%. It was a silly mistake but one that was really easy to make. I selected the AB+ preset and thought I was done. I didn’t catch that the default preset on the template was only 50%. I hope my screw up can save someone else the headache.
