My rbta split

I've had it for lil over a year and looked at it today and this is what I saw finally I thought it would never split

Yaaaaay! I remember years back when mine first split I was so stoked. Then after that it kept splitting about once every couple months. Of course it was huge, when wide open it was probably close to 2' across

Mine was about the size of a large dinner plate I always wondered why it hadn't split yet even had my superman mushroom split months ago lol

Congrats! Ive heard so many things on what causes em to split, some say poor quality water....ive tried that, some say pristine water....tried that.... some say feed it alot, tried that lol. Seems like maybe these guys just do what they want! I hope you find many more in the future!

Just checking my records and it was a year old June 1st I don't do anything special just feed it bits of shrimp it even made it through 3 days in a Rubbermaid container when I upgraded from my 65 to the 125

Nice! Something must be in the air (water?) lately, mine also just split. It was lame and only split once though lol.
