My Reboot

So, family needs and my wife changing her mind about the tank location necessitated a complete reboot on my 90 gallon build. I haven't spent much time chronicling this build but I have a few pictures. I am here honestly because I am looking to share some of my struggles and get some moral support. I don't even have fish in this thing yet and I feel like I am getting my behind kicked.

Some of the struggles have included redesigning the electronics area 3 times. The plumbing, while I love hard plumbing, has been a nightmare. I think I have thrown away at least half a Home Depots worth of PVC parts and piping. My recycle bin is overflowing with cut nylon cable ties and the wiring is only about 75% done. (Cable management - The Struggle is Real) All of this and the system hasn't gotten wet yet.

That's a nice looking set up. The plumbing looks good and nice job with the stand. Keep up the good work!

Looks great! I wish I would of planned the stuff your taking your time on better. I’m 8 months in to my most recent build with a pile of cords on the floor, lol.

I just don't want all of this effort to be for nothing. I keep reading about all of the struggles people have AFTER they get their systems up and running. I am ready for some things to go easy.

So, I got some more work done. I was running a leak test in my garage (thank goodness) and found my DIY ATO Reservoir sprung a leak after holding water fine for months. Not the end of the world by any means but just another chapter in the book of setbacks.
