I haven't showed him off in a couple of years. He's approaching 5 years old. Short story: I loaned my brother the money to buy him and he couldn't pay me back and was leaving his apartment, so I "repossessed" him! When I moved to Cali earlier this year, my friend shipped him from Cleveland to Irvine about 2 months ago. He's now about 16".

I currently have a pair of true perculas that have divorced (they both use to hang out in the anemone, but lately, the female attcks the male if he gets close to the anemone...) so I'm probably gonna get rid of them and get the clowns I really wanted - black and white saddlebacks/percula.

Very, very nice. I miss my carpet, but it ate 2 tangs so I'm holding on to my ritteri and RBTA.

I was worried about the shipping - I was just gonna let my friend keep him as I didn't want to risk it but when I started to look for a new one out here, the prices were astronomical!

It's odd - I had a pair of maroon clowns that had no problems for 12 years and these two can't stay together for a year...I wanted the black and white anyways - I just let my daughter talk guilt me in to the "nemos". Now she seems like she's ok with swapping them out.

That is an absolutely beautiful red carpet anemone, I have always wanted a red carpet but just have a major problem coming off that much money. I think
a pair of black and whites will look awesome up against the red.

Thanks.

bbandu - I thought the same thing - the black and white fish would just contrast beautifully against the vibrant red!!

in cleveland he was in a much larger tank, but out here he's in my 60g cube - he takes up most of the bottom front, but he's happy!

Super sick nem!

Feeding time must be very fun.

Gorgeous anemone!!! I love carpet anemones but I do not have enough real estate for them. :(

I try not to feed him too much as I don't want it to grow bigger than it already has. I will feed him about 1/2 shrimp a month...it's been working decently and he hasn't grown too quickly
