My Red Knobby Sea Star Died.

To my Forum Friends~

My gorgeous Red Sea Knobby Star died yesterday. Please give me help for proper buriel .. I am very unwell over this loss.

Sorry for the loss!

Not to pile on, but stars are one of those creatures better left in the ocean. We really do not know what their nutritional requirements are, and they typically do not live very long in our tanks. Just in case you were thinking of another, to save you another heartache.

I appreciate all of your comments.. but my Father called me His "Star" all of his life. He died in 2008. He drove a gorgeous Car that resembled this Red Sea Star of mine. There is hidden psychology on this one. We all buy a pet that resembles your family in some kind of way. My Father's Bible sits very comfortably on the mantle very close to my aquarium. So for me.. this is quite a personal loss. The tragedy is worse for the very fact that I was born on my Mom and Dad's birthday. I am a miracle baby on May 10th. My father was my Very Best Friend. Thank you all for listening. =)

Sorry for your loss, I am going through some hard things with my family as well. The best advice I have is to know that whatever physical thing you may lose, whether it be a person, fish, or item, you will always have their love and memories from the time they were with you. I hope you can find some peace.

They’re beautiful but also challenging in captivity. They fo best in a well established tank. If your tank is under a year, even two old- I would hold off. Same applies to linkia and other high colored stars.
