My Red Sea Reefer Build thread

My levels were too low to tell. Probably why it never grew, but had just enough to stay alive. I always have Nitrate just barely detectable on the regular Red Sea Kit. Around 1 ppm. PO4 varies more but usually 0.03 - 0.10 ppm.

I am no expert. That was my first real refugium, although I have had planted freshwater tanks as well.

It is my opinion, FWIW, that there are many advantages to macroalgae (and plants) beyond nutrient export. Some related to pH, O2, metals, and things we may not fully understand yet, but observe.

Thats cool, definitely going to have to try it. Im sure my mandarin and leopard wrasse and fang blenny will love it too with all the extra pods. Do you still have a refugium

No. Not in 6 months. I will at some point, or on a bigger tank. Having other issues right now. :)

Everything is doing better corals growing and fish doing good. Sadly my coral beauty died due to internal parasites i believe. Got an acan and duncan frag and thats all thats new.

I beleive its a toxic lime echinata?

He or she is pretty peaceful never have any issues any more.the multibar angel dominates it and just about anything else. Never bothers anyone apart from the odd dash at the smaller flavoguttatus anthias or flasher wrasse, but thats rare now.

Unfortunately the mccoskers flasher wrasse passed away due to internal parasites about a month ago, even though i treated for them, wish i medicated the food instead of direct into DT. Got a new linespot flasher for christmas, who is doing good. Also got a seahorse for my nano, who ive almost killee by over dosing nopox. I advise anyone who uses nopox to have an air stone handy incase of an overdose (thankfully @pcon helped me with what to do), as i doubt any fish would have made it without the air stone as they were breathing so rapidly.
