Well Dino's are still under control but my Nitrates jumped to 9ppm out of the blue after 5 weeks of dosing Sodium Nitrate. It was a steady .75ppm NO3 before. Stopped dosing NO3 and am slowly working on reducing NO3 again. Tank out of balance now. Not sure why??? Almost full reversal LESS Dino's. Darn. ALK consumption went back up too. Maybe time for NOPOX again??

Update on previous post. I got my NO3 back to O ppm. Nopox and GFO did the trick. I'll stop NOPOX dosing and start dosing .8ppm Sodium Nitrate again. Target .8-2ppm NO3.

I will be Installing my New SB Ultra 44 soon and have found out if I use BRS sodium bicarbonate my alk. is a bit more stable and my PH doesn't increase. Soda still ok to use as well.
