Really need to remember to order a mg test set.
I think I am going to lose one of my zoa's. Not to poor health, but it started coming lose from the frag. I tried to glue it back on twice now but think I may have gotten glue in the polyps. The polyps are so small as it is that they were very difficult to see when closed up.

I'm really trying not to be worried.... I must have bought a low light anemone. I couldn't find it for days but then finally saw it is in one of the deepest caves in my rock structure. It is getting almost no light there. I haven't been able to feed it since I got it and can barely see it but strangely enough, it still looks fairly healthy. Nothing stringy, holding shape, just a bit bleached.
Just really hoping that he comes to somewhere he can get more light or that I can possibly feed him. He will come to an area with more light when he feels the need, right?

The amount of bugs in my tank continues to amaze me. It looks like a snowstorm in there with the amount of copepods and other mini-life floating around. And I can't so much as brush the sand without sending amphipods scurrying.
Even the Ogo algae I put in the tank is thriving. Never thought I would have so much life without fish!

They are the weirdest animals ever I wouldn't worry to much if he is locked in one spot and not moving that means he is ok.

Never thought of that. Will they act like filter feeders? I have always considered them to eat more "chunks" of food.

I think so it's been a while since I did research on them but I think melev doesn't feed his directly

I know many people do not feed them and that they rely oh photosynthesis. Mine just can't do that right now since it is hiding in the cave!

But check out his website he has a lot of info on anemones and I think he says that he feeds and whatever they get they get
I will never have one again because they killed my Achilles tang still mad about that and that was three years ago

The anemone came out of the cave today. And he headed straight for the powerhead! This little guy must have some self esteem issues. 
Fortunately, I got home just as he was crossing from the rock to the tank wall about 4" below the powerhead. Put the tank in feed mode and was able to easily get him to release because he was so spread out across the gap. Got him to attach to the rock on a lower and safer part of the tank. It will be interesting to see where he goes next!

I went thru the same thing a few weeks ago and while I was busy cleaning the sink, out on my driveway, it tipped sideways. As luck would have it, there was a small rock on the driveway and it knocked a hole in the side of the sump. Also cracked it in every direction over about 1/3 of the tank. For the hell of it, I applied a patch of a piece of glass about 1' square to the outside of the tank and to my surprise, the patch is holding after about a 4 day leak test.

Yesterday I got in a shipment of coral from Battlecorals. I did a grab bag so he could pick out some hardier frags. Great decision on my part, he picked out a fantastic variety for me. My superglue skills still need work but my tank is really starting to come together.
I also ordered some frags from World Wide Corals but that shipment was delayed due to the hurricane. Glad to hear they didn't get much damage and should be able to ship it for me next weekend.
Still having problems keeping my blue zoas stuck to the plug. They just seem to keep working loose. I'm loosing all my new grown as the baby heads either fall off or are victimized by my poor glue skills.
Everything still seems very healthy. My anemone has worked his way back to the front of the tank. Still doesn't look quite right but he doesn't look bad. He just never really opens up all the way and curls up into a ball regularly. Can't get him to eat small shrimp pieces. I have a feeling he is feeding on the amphipods and copepods that have taken over my tank. I have so many that even with the lights on it looks like it is snowing. In the lower flow center of my tank I probably average 10 per square inch on the front display glass. It gets really loaded at night when you shine a flashlight on it. Good problem to have I guess!

I'm such a bad reefer. He put the names on the bags for me but I struggled to make heads or tails of them. I'll work at taking some pictures and trying to read his writing tonight!

Highschool football took up my night yesterday so didn't get too much done. However, I did get a few pieces of acrylic attached in my sump so that it had time to cure before this morning. One more thing off the list.
Huge thanks @TaylorPilot , the kit was great! I know you are proud of your sock system but I appreciate you working with me to get me exactly what I wanted. Oh, and these seemed like a nice touch up until I started putting the sump together. Now I think they may have been the best thing you sent! It saved me literally hours of time and made it so easy to make sure everything was perfectly spaced and level. Great idea!
Do you mind posting a couple of more sump pics? Looking for ideas, while maintaining simplicity in the partition approach. I'm getting glass baffles cut and been following along. Thanks for posting your progress, looks great.

Thank you, and I will try to remember to do this when I get home tonight. I've been meaning to get these pics for you when I take the pictures of my new coral frags but I've been getting home late the last few days and only the blue lights are on in my tank. I keep forgetting to take out the camera anyway to get those sump pictures but I hope to remember to get them tonight. Should be home early.. I hope....
