MY REEF TANK PHOTO JOURNAL

I have had this for a few months and just recently moved it up to higher lighting after letting it adjusted to my tank. I begin to see some colors starting to develop. I will take one photo every other month to document the change and growth :)

This piece is truly a diamond in the rough IMO. Found it in the bargain bin at a LFS. It was mostly brown but I thought I saw some potential so I bought it. It stay brown for a long time and had some STN, recovered, grew back and just recently started to get some colors. It looks as each coralite has a few different colors in it. It looks pretty amazing in person but hard to capture its color with my limited camera skills :)

Very nice collector corals! What camera and lens are you using?

What is the filtration on this setup? What do you dose for the SPS? What foods do you feed the fish?

Great corals and very nice photography too. :)

Thanks. I have 2x30 gal sumps connected by a 2 in pvc...it's how it was when I bought the tank. I run a Seaside aquatics skimmer not sure what model but I'm sure it's undersized.
As for dosing I dose that Red Sea A&B stuffs and Pohls Potasium balance 2x a week. I feed my fish spectrum pellets and frozen once a day

This is an interesting one. Got it from AGE a year ago. I can't remember the name. It was something with the word "pink" in it. Here is the WYSIWYG pic of my frag

Here it is 10 months later

Looks like a completely different acro. The tip is blue with pink coralites and the polyps are orange in some area and red/pink in some areas pretty neat

Speaking of morphing...my Coral Collection Inferno nem has some interesting changes as well. Here's cell phone pic of it when I first got it

Here's a phone pic of it after 2 months. It has developed small green streaks among the standard orange pattern only in half of the nem....pretty similar to CC Supernova and super expensive nem;)
