My Reefer 170

I first started with an EVO 12 and always wanted a bigger system. My push finally came when I subscribed to WWC’s coral club and upgraded my light to a hydra 26. The EVO was just to small and I was super impressed with what WWC sent me and knew I would keep the subscription and run out of room lol. So I finally got the approval from the wife and history was made, I received my reefer 170 on July 2 2019 from saltwateraquarium.com and started planning all of the items I was going to get to get this thing running. Went with a ecotech vectra s2 as my main pump and transferred the hydra 26 and current marine eflux wave pumps to the 170. Also went ahead and got a rodi system from marine depot and that’s one of the best purchase not having to go back and forth to the LFS. More to come.......

Another item I have had for about a month is a Poseidon reef system which I purchased to grow pods. So far it has been a really awesome investment and produces tons of phyto and lots of pods

Hi,

Tank looks great. That pod system is a new one on me. That’s an interesting set up for the mandarin. Keep us updated, I would like to see it long term. I think it’s a great idea.
