So I'm on a small road trip for work and I thought I'd start a build thread.
Tank is fully set up now minus a few odd and ends. Hope you like it!

After ordering my reefer I found out that I had a long wait before it would arrive due to issues with shipping. Red Sea was kind enough to send a care package for the delay. Thanks RedSea.. A small gesture like that goes a long way in my book!

With the wait I had a lot of time to chew on what components I wanted for this new build so I'll just post a list and a few pics of my decisions
-tank: Red Sea reefer 250 white
-lighting: ATI dimmable sun power 39w x6
-combo: 4 blue plus , 1 coral plus , 1 purple
-flow: 2 tunze 6055 with controller
-return: eheim... Can't remember the number.. (I'll edit later)
-skimmer: Vertex omega 150
-ATO: tunze osmolator (I opted to not use the reefers ATO system because I didn't like the idea of messing with a drawer every time I wanted to change the socks. Instead I altered the filter socks to allow me to drop them in from the top and twist them in place)
-ATO reservoir: synergy 5 gallon white (I put a tee on my RODI unit and ran one through the wall and straight into my reservoir... No more buckets, jugs, etc....)
-controller: Apex Jr.
-rock: Marco rocks regular and shelf cuts

Looking great!

Thanks revhtree!
still need a few pieces.
Planning on adding a Neptune DOS next along with an eb4. Hopefully Santa got my letter.

That's awesome. Do you have a carbon/GFO reactor? I only ask because I'm getting this tank in feb and and getting all my equipment in line

Nathan, no reactors. I'm a big fan of keeping things super simple. So I use ROX Carbon in a media bag and drop it into a high flow area of the sump.

I just got home from my work trip the other day and see I have some of the brown flatworms... Kind of irritated because I've been very diligent about dipping everything. Eggs maybe?
Going to pick up a melanurus wrasse and see if he can't keep it under control. Nothing major yet.

Any updates on this tank?

Please let me know what you think about your 6055 powerheads. Do you find the flow wide enough for your tank?

Thanks!
