I purchased a Reefer 425XL used and I have spent the past week cleaning it and getting it ready to fill. Just starting to play with the scape before sand arrives. Any suggestions?

Welcome to R2R! I love the two structures. I think the height is just right. I am not a fan of the top left rock placement. A bit unnatural for my tastes. If you like it, though definitely keep it.

Welcome to R2R!!! Congratulations on the tank - it looks like you are off to a good start!

looks awesome!! Id check the stability of that top rock on the left Imo it could fall creating a huge mess but idk if you glued it etc. Also do you have a build thread?

Welcome to R2R! I have the 425xl too! Tank looks great, but I have to agree about the left rock. If your looking for hight, have you tried flipping it upside down and balancing between the two lower rocks? Looks like you’d create another swim through/hide out for fish:)

Welcome..

I'm a fan. Looks great. second other's opinions on stability of the top left rock.
Aside from that, I love how it's a wide base that narrows as you go up. You'll really appreciate all those unshaded areas when it comes time to place corals.

Welcome to R2R and your new reefing family. Good choice on the tank...the RS's are such good looking tanks and it looks like it cleaned up nicely. I like the aquascape a lot for what it's worth.

The rock will be glued and pinned in with a fiberglass rod, as will most of the rest of the rocks. Thanks!
I do not but have a build thread but i’d like to start one almost as a journal for myself and to share what I learn as I progress, how do I start that thread?

I have to agree. The glass on these tanks are incredible. Thanks!

Yeah, when I flip it it kind of looks like a mushroom which I don’t like.. it’ll be pinned and glued so no worries about it falling once I finalize the scape. Thanks for the welcome
